H45
Can anyone help me identify the critter growing on my frogspawn. Is it harmful? Benificial for the tank? Link to comment
mrBananas
Vermetid snails I think. Edit: I get rid of them when I can. They send out slime lines that tend to bother my zoas and make them close up. Link to comment
H45
Ok, just image searched and that's what they are. Thank you! I've got a load of them all over the rock. They haven't bothered any of my corals but this one being right near the base of the frogspawn bothers me. I might try and scrape it off. Thanks again! Link to comment
mrBananas
Get them while you can. I've read they can spread pretty fast. And be careful using your fingers because the tubes will snap off easily and leave a nice sharp base. I started using a knife to pry at the base which seems to give the best results. Link to comment
