I was considering maybe a pico aquariums skimmer since they're fairly cheap and i can move it to my evolve 8 if it isn't strong enough when i upgrade The mantis tank. Link to comment

I forgot about those but your right, I think the PicO 2.0 skimmer would be perfect for your tank and take up less room than the Aquatic life. Link to comment
