swegambit
Setting up a 42 inches shallow long reef, but i'm not sure what fish i can keep. My kids really like to have clown fishes. Nice but they dont move that much, and in a shallow reef it feels kind of wrong. However i feel kind of bad not to have 2 clowns so... well i will get 2 very very small once But what more can i add? Since its 42 inches long i love to have a fish or two that moves around alot. Can i keep 5 small fishes in the tank? Or is that to much? I got a Tunze 9001 skimmer. Thankfull for all advice, and sorry for my bad english! Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
42 inch 20 gallon? what are the other dimensions? It'll be awkward swimming for most fish. I'd stick with a bunch of gobies. Link to comment
Angel<3Nanos
I'd like to know the dimensions as well. Link to comment
charnelhouse
From http://www.garf.org/tank/buildtank.asp : Material = GlassTank Height = 6" Tank Width = 42" Tank Length = 18 " Glass Thickness = 1/4" Approximate Gallons = 20 Just theorizing to entertain myself. Link to comment
swegambit
Its 42 long, 12 wide and 10 height. Pretty much a ADA (In the middle of the ada 90f and 120f but with a bit more hight). I love the look on the Aqua 12 gallon but i was a bit to small for me. Link to comment

swegambit
I dont have a lid, but i can get one (I work on a glass factory) However i havent had plan to use a lid. Link to comment
charnelhouse
If it were my tank I would be concerned about fish jumping out. I'm sure other people have been successful keeping fish in a tank that shallow with no lid. Personally I would do a lot of research before deciding what fish to stock though. Three of the four wrasses I linked say they like to jump. Link to comment
