abernier
what would be the best lighting system for a 20L? and not something super expensive.(like under 200) if you could provide links. how many watts should i have? would around 2x65 watts be enough for clams and sps? Link to comment
EtOH_is_good
clams need halide to thrive. you'll need to do a lot of research and searches to keep your lights less than 200, esp for mh. gl. Link to comment
alexmsw
http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/m...Code=currentusa The 30" fixture is good if you want Power compacts. You can keep softies, lps, and some lower light requiring sps. You will get a debate about the clams some people will say metal halide only, other say you can keep squamosa, deresa clams under PC especially with the 20L being a lower height. Link to comment
MrKrispy
Save an extra $100 and just go with MH. I have a 250W DE over my 20L that I paid $300 for everything. If you want SPS and clams I wouldn't recommend anything else. It has been done, but it is rare. Link to comment
