CatfishSoupFTW
so I have some Watts clear vinyl tubing, that atm im using just for siphoning, but I could use it as a return for a future build with a sump. though, the tubing isnt safe for drinking water... therefore its not safe for reef use? I have googled it quite a bit, but people just say they use vinyl all the time, or PVC. so im confused here. I can do PVC for the intake, but for the out, its a small marineland 400 (i know...) and it has a 1/2 inch spout that seems that the tubing would fit best. not sure how I would be able to turn it to accept pvc. thoughts? StevieT
We have been using Watts vinyl tubing for years and sell it on our site. Also use it in the pumps kits we build. Drinking safe and reef safe are two different animals when it comes to insurance. It's fine Link to comment
