Lizz
It looks GORGEOUS!!! My clownfish hide out in the corner all day too. Makes me sad because they are so beautiful and I'd like to SEE them sometimes LOL. Can you get a shot of those blue mushrooms that exploded for you on the side in the shade? I can kind of see them in the FTS but if you have a moment to get a good shot of them that'd be awesome . thank you so much! there have for sure been growing pains and i'm still learning, but it was pretty satisfying to compare old photos with today! here is ye olde mushroom rock that i have moved to the lefthand side of the tank: with a cameo by yoko and shoe, the reclusive clownfish also, at some point a mushroom detached and made it's way to the righthand corner of the tank and has started reproducing over there, too: Link to comment
Lizz
also, since this is my thread i'd like to share some photos i took at the monterey bay aquarium earlier this month when we took a trip to the west coast...it was SO WONDERFUL. also, jellyfish are the coolest ever: (this one was the size of a quarter!) i'd have loved to stay there all day taking photos, but i have an increasingly wild toddler on my hand. reference: honestly, he's probably also why i haven't been able to be as active on here as i'd like to the past few months! he LOVES the tank though, and is always talking about 'hermee cwabs' and 'patty' (we have two emerald crabs named patty and selma). and of course he calls the orange clown 'nemo'. whoops. anyway, i'll end this off topic post with a bonus shot of big sur... Lizz
Next you are going to need Jellyfish Tank! Amazing tank BTW- incredible Zoas and I love the funky clownfish names i wish! re: jelly tank thank you for the kind words. i've grown out nearly all the zoas from one or two polyp frags. it's a sloooow process! the clownfish were named by the aforementioned toddler...so i can't take the credit. haha Link to comment
Lizz
so after the death of my beloved helfrichi lala, an outbreak of dino (that i actually managed to overcome!) and rearranging our apartment, i decided i actually want to move on to a new tank that will fit better in the space and also be a bit of a "fresh start". we decided to go with an IM nuvo fusion 20 and it will hopefully be arriving some time later this week! thanks for anybody who commented on this thread...i think its time to make a new one with my new setup.
