Got a few corals from Aqua SD and like 5 freebies. UPS messed up and delivered to wrong address. Called UPS and fortunately USP was able to pick up and re-deliver to the right address within an hr.

Measured Mg and found it to be at 1110 ppm. Came as a surprise. Dosing BRS 2 part Mg mix. Added 50 ml and will do every 24hrs to get it up to atleast 1250.

 

More test and Ca and Alk are being consumed preety past. Ca at 340 and Alk is 7.3. Have been working on increasing dosing so that Ca is around 380 and alk b/w 7.5 and 8.

The Tunze 9001 is a great skimmer. I kind of started feeding more so to balance nutrients I switched to a Tunze 9004. The 9004 is a tight squeeze for the size of the chamber.

Thanks, it grew like 0.75 ~ 1 cm in 20 days. I hope it grows well. I just moved it up and want it to settle down at the new position so I can glue it. Alk i try to run at 8. I am still adjusting dosing to get it spot on if possible.

Im loving the freaking ATI. Clams much larger, rock flower anemones going from 2" to 3.5", best PE on acros I've seen. No regrets! Running 4C+, B+, P+. I don't like the blue look.

 

Only complaint is lack of that LED pop; needs a reefbrite strip.

Sweet !! I also see more growth with Zoas and all other corals and Acro's have so much more PE.

 

I also just bought a used duo- send it to Dave to get it cleaned and get a rimless gooseneck. I am doing this get the hybrid thing going. The idea is more T5 light and supplement with Duo.

 

I had built a Radion/T5 hybrid it was more LED and less T5 now trying the reverse.

I like the tank especially because the rear chambers are a decent size. I can fit a Tunze 9004 in there. The only problem with the models were how the rear chambers water flow design was set. (look up google). Fluval has now fixed it. However, I never had issue with it.

 

I was lucky that I got brand new set w/o the light, skimmer and power-head. They were something you will upgrade anyway.This saved me a lot of money. I got it for 350 (tank stand, return pumping and pump) so I would say it was good deal and I really like it so far

 

Ideal tank would be a IM lagoon 25 with the size of the rear chambers of a Fluval M60.
