Alright yep here are the updates..

The tank survived 8days with no one home woohoo. Ato worked flawlessly and the apex using apex fusion was amazing to check in on things while I was gone.

I added a gfo reactor and a second mp10 on the right side. Phosphates are great now.

Now to the exciting stuff. Purchased 3 frags this evening. I'm going to try to get pics tomorrow when my lighting is back on. They are an ORA purple polyp birds nest, a blue digita and this sweet purple staghorn with green polyps. I believe it is ORA as well but don't know the name.

Oh and the fish are all good. The clowns are adjusting to the flow ha.

Alright photos promised

Here you can see the ORA Birdsnest and the blue Digitata in the background

And here is what appears to be an elk horn coral purple with bright green polyps. DOn't know the name, the guy told me but I've never really been into designer coral naming. It is a striking piece in person, hard to capture by phone camera

FTS to come later

Well I found out that my daughter's school teacher's husband is a reef keeper. He invited me to take a look at his tanks. He has about 1000gal of total water volume in his basement all tanks full of coral. He offered me all the frags I wanted of his full colonies. I ended up leaving with 9 frags (some really like small colonies) for free. I believe they are as follows

Green Digitata

Orange Digitata

ORA Shades of Fall

Purple Nurple Monti

Orange Monti cap

Green Slimer Acro

Tricolor Acro

Two Green Monti with different polyps

We also added a Randall's Goby with Pistol Shrimp both have gone into hiding in separate caves :(

New fish edition, they are always fun. I added a single female dispar anthias. I was a little concerned at first because I was struggling to get her to eat well. I purchased some Larry's Reef Frenzy and that was the ticket. She loves that stuff so I feed 3 small feedings of it daily (probably equals 1/2 cube of formula 1 in size total) She has been in the tank one month and really has filled out in size and color has really come out. High recommend Larry's food! Cool fish, swims head on into the current of the left side mp10 all day.

Here is a right side shot where you can see her.

The green slimmer, digitata, tricolor, and ORA Birds of Paradise are all showing great growth.

I will get a FTS up soon. We added a Yellow Coris Wrasse to cut down on Stomatellas. Those things were everywhere. Great little cleaners but man I know there were 200 in there at least.

Also found a Marine Louse on our anthias. Trying to catch her for a FW dip. Ill take pics and let you know how it goes.

Alright caught the Anthias and proceeded with louse removal (nasty)

In these pics you can see the brown spot below her pectoral fin. Not convinced it was a louse but it was moving around on her and had attached pretty well. FW dip caused it to detach for removal.

She is now back in tank in hiding but seems otherwise no worse for the wear.

Very nice... and nice of your new reefkeeping buddy to hook you up... wish I had friends like that... hahaha

Yes it is always nice to have friends. Its funny because he sells his coral to the LFS so I see the prices they charge for the same pieces. It is then I am very thankful for his generosity.
