tanakiye Posted July 10, 2004 Share Posted July 10, 2004 i have a 34 gallon, running for about 6 months...stocked w/what i could save out of my big tank after it cracked. currently has 3x65 w PCs, 2 50/50, 1 act03. 10 gal sump, with rio 1600 return pump, 1 powerhead in tank for turbulence, heater.... alk and cal a bit high, ph 8.2, temp 80F, sal 1.026, nitrates, etc 0.... zoo colony & ricordia mushroom never seem to open fully, however xenia, shrooms, leather coral, anenome and gorgonian doing good... possible too much flow for non-opening corals? (zoos, ricordia) 3x65w enough to keep sps or clams? also a few aiptasia... suggestions to get rid of them? stubborn lil guys... thanks tana Link to comment

RobinsonFam1 Posted July 11, 2004 Share Posted July 11, 2004 you could get away with easy sps like montipora digitata. not acros. maybe a clam. try moving the zoos, shrooms should wake up soon. i have had zoos not open for about 4 days or more and when they get hungry they will open. zoos are about indestructable. shrooms will let go and move if current is too high. could be water parems off. (calc/alk) kalk mix or calcium injected to the aptaisia will nuke em. peppermint shrimp will eat them as well. Link to comment
