Utnapishtim Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 I'll preface this by saying there are no clams in this tank yet as the tank is still a touch to young. I've always been huge into Claims and kept a Crocea, but had to move so I sold it. This tank has been up for a few months, but using rock I took from a 29 gallon that had been running for 3 years. FTS Right now I'm using a pair of Hydra 52's for lighting (which I can't praise enough) a HOB Reef Octopus and Hydors (though thanks to Arkayology, I'll be putting a WP25 in eventually. I realize I'll have to be careful and probably move the torch coral, but I couldn't resist the fella A nice Lordhowensis I also have a 3 gallon cube that's been up a bit longer, but I didn't really want to make two threads at once Link to comment

Utnapishtim Posted April 19, 2014 Author Share Posted April 19, 2014 I've been struggling to get good pics of the fish in this tank. I have only two, a pygmy angel and a Tomini Tang. Can't get the tangs colors to come out, but I did get a perfect picture of the angel today. I assure you I haven't touched this up at all, I just fiddled with my hydras till I found the perfect light settings Link to comment

I have a bit of an algae problem, ever since I did a water change 3 months ago, which I hope to fix by adding a phosban reactor soon. But why not have some pictures? So far the algae hasn't really interfered with the corals, but it is rather unsightly. And I haven't been feeding the tank much at all, actually lost that fish in the aforementioned water change, so the bioload is really light. As soon as I find a pump to use with my phosban reactor, though, I think I can get it cleaned up Link to comment

Utnapishtim Posted August 18, 2014 Author Share Posted August 18, 2014 I still dose with phyto like every week and I give them good light. My main plan is to increase water changes as soon as the phosban is hooked up so I can starve the algae of phosphates. Link to comment
