Justaerin Posted June 2, 2014 Author Share Posted June 2, 2014 So this didn't take off. I sold the 2ft cube a couple days ago. Still have all the bits though and I have the external back. In the interest of using what I've got I'm opting for the 30 ish litre tank instead of buying a smaller one. It measures 16 long 11 high and 10.5 front to back all in inches. I've got a 90 litre housing what's left of my stock that im going to close down cos it's an eyesore. I've got £170 from the sale of the cube left and im hoping as I have the rock sand salt tests refrac that I'll be able to splash on some nice stock and lights. It's not a large footprint and it's not deep so hoping lights won't cost the earth. After lights it comes down to how to filter, I've also got a 1600lph fluval wave maker powerhead type thing so that and the rock and regular water changes should cover it but is there anything else I should consider? oh I also have a twin float switch top off unit. I've got a smaller hob filter that I'll kit out for phos removal and just add a powerhead and do water changes for now, see how that goes. Link to comment
