Help: Recording Videos of Reef

Hey guys,

 

I have an extremely awesome camcorder at my disposal (Sony HDR CX430), but I can't seen to get the settings correct to take video of my nano reef (my color balance is always off, even after white balancing). Does anyone happen to have any experience either using this particular camcorder, or have any general tips on taking video of one's reef?
