xiaoxiy
I got my "Garage-sale" Nanobox Black and White Mono from Dave today. When I ordered the unit, I expected it to come in all beaten up and dented, but to my pleasant surprise, it looked fantastic. Upon opening up the box though, I noticed that the endcaps were a bit loose and out of alignment. However, this was a simple fix, as I pulled out the screw driver and tightened everything down. The light spectrum is pretty awesome; when compared to a 5RB/3NW/2UV DIY LED setup, Dave's lights brought out richer colors in my corals. Furthermore, the unit is sooooo much sleeker than my old DIY light fixture. Boy oh boy, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The only negative I've experienced with my Mono is that the plugs are a bit touchy (on the driver box end). A bit of movement causes my lights to turn off because the plug comes loose, but I don't expect to move the driver box much, so it shouldn't be a long-term issue. Everything else is fantastic. Now without further ado, here are some pictures. (I actually feel like my pictures don't do the unit justice. They were taken with a Sony HDR-430V camcorder, but came out like shit for some reason. I need to figure out how to use this camcorder). Forgive the large image sizes, photobucket is being slow and it's taking forever to resize the images, so I'm not even gonna bother with it. With Ipod Nano for size reference: Link to comment
