bobbittle
What would be sufficient lighting for a 37 (30x14x22 i think)? I was thinking about: 2 150W 20k MH 2 65W actinics Sufficient? Link to comment
fade2black
Should be fine. What are you planning on keeping? 150W might not be enough to reach the bottom of a 22" deep tank, but it all depends on what you want to keep. Link to comment
bobbittle
Not positive yet. Maybe open brain, bubble, frogspawn, zoos, rics, shrooms, xenia, leather, star polyps, candy cane, plate..... Link to comment
fade2black
You'll be fine to keep those. Link to comment
bobbittle
Good deal. =) If I may ask, what are a few examples of corals that would require the higher lighting? Link to comment
fade2black
I would only go with higher lighting if you wanted to keep clams on the sandbed, or SPS lower in the tank. You would have no problem keeping SPS in the top 12"-15", any deeper and I would go up a notch on the MH just to get deeper penetration to the bottom of the tank. But for what you want to keep, you'll have more than enough light. Link to comment
bobbittle
Thanks. =) Not ready for SPS yet, so not worried about that. =) Link to comment
