Super-lighted 1ga. Betta Tank

So, while my mom was asleep, I did a little DIY job on her betta tank.

 

It's a 1ga ($20) all-in-one type tank from PetCo. It's made by Aquatic Gardens.

 

The tank comes with a socket for a small incadescent bulb (nightlight). The color was awful and grew a lot of algae. So, in about 5 minutes I had installed a 13w 6400k PC bulb in it's place. The best part is, there was NO hard DIY involved. I mounted the bulb, and wired it up. I even used the housing for the old incandescent to hold the ballast. Pretty sweet if ya ask me.

 

So, for about $40, you could have a 1ga pico w/ a 13w 50/50. Anyway, on to the pics:
