15g ballast, 20w bulb

specifically, can the minibow 5's socket and ballast handle a 20w coralife 50/50 bulb?

 

the hood says not to use wattages above 15, but it seems to make perfect sense to just slap a 20w bulb in there since it fits so nice and is so easy. is there a danger involved here? or is it just a silly warning like not ripping the tags off of matresses?

 

any thoughts?

You might be able to push it for five extra watts, but its like when you stick a 100w bulb in a desk lamp that says to use 65's. It will probably run the bulb, but not as efficiently and not as long. I don't think you'll blow anything up though.

You could be pushing thermo melt-down! Hee Hee! It should be fine PC's run cool than incadesants anyways.
