mosquared
I have heard that Xenia corals are rather hardy. I will be getting them as frags possibly, and Im wondering if my tank is too hot for them. I heard that they need tanks that stay below 80 degrees. But my tank is always pushing 82 degrees. Is it possible to keep this coral in my tank? does anyone see flaws in having this coral as my first coral? I can just feed it Phytoplankton right? Thanks in advance for any replies. Link to comment
tonym
Xenias are very hardy. My temp hit 84°F today and my Xenia were pumping like crazy all day. They might look pathetic for a while after first being introduced, but give it time and they will TAKE OVER. Since putting mine in my tank they have split 6 times and growing bigger every day. I will be fragging mine soon. Link to comment
jasontatro
My xenia do fine in my tank which gets around 81 during the day. They are very hardy and I would suggest them as a first coral. Xenia are incapable of feeding organismally. The get all of their food from lighting. Link to comment
