JimmyZtank Posted June 24, 2004 Share Posted June 24, 2004 would 250w DE HQI be enough to light a 50 gal 36x15x25? I was hoping to keep SPS and clams farther up the tank, and shrooms and zoos LPS at the bottom. Any input would greatly be appreciated. Link to comment

fade2black Posted June 24, 2004 Share Posted June 24, 2004 You're only going to get a 24" spread at best with any MH, so if you are OK with a lot less light on the 6" on the left and right of the tank, then one will suffice. If you want the entire 36" evenly lit, then you'll have to go with two. Link to comment
