brown algea - cant keep it out

I have a 10 gallon tank with a whisper powerfilter 20, and a profile powerhead 600 running. The tank has been setup for a month and a half and i keep having to clean this brown algea out. I have tried all the tips on this site: http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/algaecont.../aa091100_2.htm

but it keeps coming back.

 

Specific Gravity: 1.023

Salinity: 31

 

Anyone have any ideas on what i should do?

diatoms.....check your silicates and phosphates. they also come with new tank syndrome. dont scrub them unless you ahve to or they will spread. snails and crabs make short work of diatoms...
