DanteGpico
Just plan on upgrading my flow in my Ecopico five gallon. I plan on going with the 160 gph model: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=21414 . I only have a few zoas and a duncan but plan to add more lps plus probably a small clown goby or citron goby. Link to comment
Rollermonkey
Probably, yes. You're going to have clown goby puree in there. Link to comment
evanski
I have a MJ 606 as my RETURN PUMP on my Fluval Spec 2G, which is rated at 150 GPH. It is a nice even flow and not anywhere near too much. Did you mean a return pump, or an in-tank circulation unit? Link to comment
1.0reef
I think it should work, worst case put rock or something in front of it to diverse the flow. Link to comment
DanteGpico
Awesome thanks I just have heard of people adding more. Link to comment
grmoore
I have an MiniJet 606 and a ZooMed 501 in my IQ3 (1.5 gallons) and the flow is just about right. I have mushrooms and SPS and they are all thriving. Even my Alveopora is happy with the flow - just had to find a spot for it that gives an intermittent current. Link to comment
Rollermonkey
Dunno why I immediately thought powerhead. Link to comment
DanteGpico
hopefully no goby puree lol. I ordered it and will see how it does. It will be for circulation. Link to comment
DanteGpico
Right now, I only have 80 gph! I definetly need more surface movement and circulation! Right now as I type this, something is making a sharo clicking noise two or three times (just went off as five) in a row. Any ideas I know this is really off topic. It has been happening for months. I cannot tell if it is an outlet, mantis shrimp, of pistol shrimp. I have many hitchhikers but have not seen evidence of any shrimp type yet. Though a hermit crab I introduced a while ago lost its claw and then mysteriously died the next day.... Link to comment
