ucisweetart
I've had my tank for a little over a week and my tank levels are normal. I've got damsels right now helpin with the cycling. I brought my water to the LFS late last week and they said my water was fine. One of my damsels looks like its scaled have burned off. Could it be ammonia burn? Here are my specs (info from Mardel Master Test Kit Strips): Salinity - 1.022 0 < Ammonia < 0.25 (results looked more towards 0) Nitrate - 40 Nitrite - 0 pH - 8.3 Link to comment
pyrrhus
it could also be aggression from the other damsels. this is the most likely scenario, however it is very likely that water quality can be a culprit in a week old tank. also those test strips are notoriously unreliable. i would advise getting a more accurate liquid test kit. for basics i really like the aquarium pharmaceuticals SW master test kit. and for the more intricate tests i like salifert.
