fade2black Posted June 20, 2004 Share Posted June 20, 2004 Actually they should be placed on the sand bed. If you put them on the ground they will dry up and die Sorry, couldn't pass that one up. Anyway, in the wild, they are found on the sandy bottom on the lagoon side of the reef in the turbid waters. They seem to flourish in water that is almost so cloudy it's hard to see them. That is per Eric Bourneman in a talk he gave on coral location and bleaching events. Link to comment
Tempest Posted June 21, 2004 Share Posted June 21, 2004 I've placed mine both on a rock shelf and in the sand bed. It did equally well in both areas. (It got moved from rock to sand-bed when I bought my house and transported the tank. NO matter what I did I just couldn't figure out how to get the rock-work like I originally had it. ).
