cirionrc
I finally found some algae in San Diego. It is not caulerpa but i bought some green grape looking algae and some red algae. They did not know the species. I just placed them in the refugium. Do i need to plant them in the sand or around live rock? Will they grow on their own? Another thing, I have a lot of brown hair microalgae in the refugium right now. What are good algae eaters to put in a refugium. Snails? Hermit crabs? Link to comment
NaNO ReeFiN
Just wondering, where did you buy this algae from? And are you planning on adding corals in the future? Link to comment
cirionrc
I bought the algae from Octopuss garden. It came from their refugium. I plan to add coral when I get alittle more experienced with this. I have read a lot of books and convinced not to add corals until I have the proper equipment and knowledge. Link to comment
Sahin
The macro algae in my tank just attaches itself if I leave it behind some rocks. I let it grow for a few weeks and then I take most of it out leaving a few branches. Just leave it in the ref. it will be alright just floating in the water, it may attached. Link to comment
