Lighting for 25g Sea Cube

Hello to all, my first post here.

 

My tank is 20Lx18Wx15H. I only have some polyps and few shrooms for now, but want to get some softies and mabe hammer soon. I currently have 2x32w PC 50/50's. How about switching to IceCap 660 with 4 18" VHO's 2 actinics, 2 actinic whites. Will this be too hot to run under my acrylic canopy only two inches above the tank. There's not much ventillation. I really like the look of VHO's much better and this way I can get a ton of light. I may be upgrading to a bigger tank in a year or so, this way I only have to buy longer bulbs without buying a whole new light setup. Thanks for reading.

that'll be a sweet lighting setup! that's good that you're thinking ahead with the 660. the shrooms should come out nicely under the vho's color-wise. uri's actinics are the best.

 

you're right about the heat buildup though. i think you should consider a fan and an exhaust for the canopy.
