Guillermo Monroy Posted June 14, 2004 Share Posted June 14, 2004 Hi, I currently own a 40g Via Aqua tank that came with a Power Compact Fluorescent Double 55w Fixture (24"). The ballast has only one power plug which no good if i want to plug it into a timer because it can only turn on one buld while the other one has to be turned on by me. So I want to know can you open up the ballast and some how add another plug so that the two lights become independent of one another, so that the timer can turn one on at specific time and then later one turn one the other and so on. kraphtymac Posted June 14, 2004 Share Posted June 14, 2004 Just add a whole ballast, so there are a total of two. Better yet, put one 10,000k and one 50/50 on the current one, and then add another 55 w ballast running an actinic with a new plug. That'd be real nice. Link to comment
