ac4169 Posted June 14, 2004 Share Posted June 14, 2004 How often should I see my jawfish? I just bought him a few days ago but only saw him once on the first day. I know that they hide and burrow but shouldn't I have seen him come out to eat and such? Also is there anyway to encourage him to burrow in front of the liverock so I can see him rather than behind it? Link to comment

pyrrhus Posted June 18, 2004 Share Posted June 18, 2004 you can make a pvc tube about 4-5" long and bury it in the sand where you want to see the fish. many people also dip the end of the tube in glue or underwater epoxy and roll it in some sand or rubble rock. most jaws love mysis and plankton. you can also try some garlic extract on the food to encourage eating. ac4169 Posted June 21, 2004 Author Share Posted June 21, 2004 I'm sad to say that my jawfish passed away. He never did start eating. My water levels were fine before I got him but then skyrocketed afterward. Does anyone have any ideas on what could have caused this? Link to comment
