Inpha
Howdy all, I was just wondering how hot/cold the water is that you run through your RODI. I believe this is a factor in the good water to waste water ratio. Please correct me if I am wrong...... Link to comment
Physh1
I don't know an exact temp but mid to low 70's is what I use. Warmer water tends to pick up a lot more minerals and metals from pipes. Your filter could go bad faster and risking things like copper in the water is a messy possibility. :*( Cameron Link to comment
Inpha
Also... how long did it take for your pre filters to turn a light yellowish color.... Link to comment
Dave ESPI
I just run it at tap temps. ALso I have a 100 GPD filter. My presedimentary filter got BLACK after 2 months... the local water sucks. The thing U want to worry about is the TFC membraine and the resins. Many good systems use colorchange resins. You shouldnt need to change except after 700 = 2000 gal dep on yer water quality.
