flypenfly
Got 2 of them for around $38 each from Big Al's. After 2 days, they're extremely quiet (same as my eheim compact 2000) and are providing strong flow. The front part is a bit big but it's actually removable. I have no worries about this pump at all, I would buy again. Link to comment
disaster999
i would give it some time before drawing a conclusion. all the reviews ive read about rio pumps are all saying how noisy they are Link to comment
tajaba
I had 2 rio pumps, the 2100 and the hyperflow 12 both for roughly 6 months All I can say is that they perform well for the first 2 month, then the 2100 started to make some rather annoying noises (I use it for pumping water into my HOB skimmer) as for the hyperflow, it pumps hella good, the price is on the cheap side as well, but its very noisy and the vibration is insane, so I made it into my circulation pump for saltwater mixing apart from the noise, I'd say they're both pretty solid, they haven't ever failed, and they're pretty easy to maintain as well, all the parts are pretty robust Link to comment
andre
I use a rio 2100 as a return pump and it works flawlessly. No loud noise and no problems. Cheap and efficient. I definitely recommend from my experience with it Link to comment
flypenfly
Yeah just to update, both my 2100's are still running 24/7 completely silently. Link to comment
