Fender963
How long does everyone think a peppermint shrimp can survive out of water??? I think mine crawled out but I can't find him. I haven't seen him in my tank for 4 or 5 days now!!! Kyle Link to comment

Physh1
Pretty much a goner. Sorry X) If you have a sump you might :x hold your breath and hope he wormed his way there. Cameron Link to comment
Metznreef
maybe he molted and is just hidong out? but he wouldn't hide that long unless your water is missing a trace element or somthing thats will help it harden it's skin. right? Link to comment
tinyreef
have you been able to check on it at night? it may be more nocturnal. metznreef makes a very good point on the molt. if there's some deficiencies it may have difficulties shedding. if it doesn't come out for it's regular feedings though it may be 'sleepin' w/ the fishes' :*( Link to comment
Strife
4 to 5 days is long enough for him to hitch hike to the nearest beach... yeah, thats a pretty long time... sorry to hear that :*( Link to comment
Brianc_4
mmmmmmmm, lemons, cocktail sauce, horseradish, tabasco, but hold the peppermint(preferably by the tail). Link to comment
Foogoo
Speaking of lost shrimps I haven't seen my camel shrimp since I got home from a four day camp August 9th. I've searched the floor and found nothing, no stench either. I'm not sure if this is good or bad however, as now my polyps can be rest assured. Link to comment
invert
I dont tink that the shrimp would of crawled out of the tank because when you take them out of the tank they colaps under there own body wait. so it wouldn't be able to move. there little legs arnt designed for life outside of water.
