Tidepool Reef Lighting

I am developing a tidepool style nano reef system utilizing an island Aquarium. (l20"xw20"xh7") holds approx. 10 gals. I am trying to decide the best and most cost effective lighting solution. The lighting would be about 8"-12" above the tank. First thought was Compact Fluoresent or possibly a four tube NO fluorescent setup since the tank is only 7" deep. my other thought was a single Coralife Metal Halide Pendant w/20000k lamp.

I don't plan on keeping any high light demanding corals, mostly softies and some Rock Anemones. Snails, Hermits, Stars etc.

Any suggestion welcome. One problem aesthetics, must be approved by the wife.

I assume since its so shallow you would like to view it from the top. IN this case a pendant of some type would be a good idea. Most anemones need very high lighting, but I don't know about rock anemones, if they are found in tidepools, then they probably do require quite a bit of light. I think a single metal halide pendant would look really good on the tank, hung high enough so that you could veiw the tank from above.
