alephnull
This came from the north shore of Maui. It floats and has grown in a dense mat. I would love to be able to anchor it down and have it grow like a carpet in a tank. Let me know if you can give me a positive ID. Thanks! Link to comment
alephnull
Some kind of caulerpa, maybe? Definitely grape like structures. I guess I didn't expect them to be that small. Link to comment
Subsea
If it is Grape Caulerpa, be careful with it going sexual. Several of the fast growing Caulerpa will grow faster than nutrients in our reef tank allow. When they are stressed, the macro will die and release spores as self preservation. When macro grows fast it will be clear on the tips. If growth is white on tips, beware, it is getting ready to die off. Link to comment
KuansReef
Green grapes very invasive and will go sexual. It will end up in display tank if placing in refuge. Hard to get rid of it. I would not keep it in a million year. Link to comment
