Thanks guys!

My powder Blue (I really need to get her out of there) has been munching on my torch corals, so they had to move to the 20 gal. I put a blue hammer in that spot, but was unsure of the look...sooo, I just got a small green pink tip BTA and put that in there. I hope she stays where I put her and doesn't get too big. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow.

What LFS you buy corals from.

The ones that I normally visit are Underwater World in Taunton, Tropic Isle in Framingham, and Oceans of Pets in Woonsocket, RI. I buy most of my corals online or from other members of the Boston Reefer's Society, though.

Can you tell us your feeding, maintenance, and dosing schedule?

Sure... I feed the fish either frozen mysis, plankton, and rotifers (1 cube each mixed and rinsed) or flakes and pellets once a day. I also have a piece of Nori hanging from a clip most of the time for the tangs.

I scrape the whole tank with a razor blade once a week and do a 15-20 gallon water change with Red Sea Coral Pro salt. I also use a mag float every day and wipe the back glass in between scrape downs with a clean paper towel and scrape the coralline off of the plastic overflow as much as I can with my nails...lol

I use Bulk Reef Supply's 2 part to dose. I manually add 30-40 ml each night of the alkalinity mixed with RODI into the sump to keep it around 7-8dkh. I add 6oz of calcium every few days in the afternoon to keep it around 440-460 and rarely use the magnesium because it doesn't change much.

My nitrates are always at 10-15 no matter what I do, but it seems to be okay.

I usually test the salinity once a day and ad fresh RODI as needed to top off.

Wowsers, that monti-cap garden is cray cray beauty. How did you get it to grow like that shape?

Thank you!

I started with the green/purple rim, then put a small piece of red and let them grow. I added the other 2 later, and they just grow their own way. I've only had to frag the green (alot) and red so far, though. Whenever they get too close to the glass or return, I just break pieces off.

Definitely one of my new favorite tanks on this website. Crazy colors, great rock placement and everything looks so happy. It looks like Candyland.

Thanks, guys!

I finally caught Emma, the powder blue tang, and found her a new home. She was almost 6 inches. I also added a candy hogfish (Piper) and fairy wrasse (Stew). Other than that, not much has changed besides moving small corals around here and there.

On to the pics!

LOVE those papaya cloves you have. I can't wait to get some to add to my clove collection. Have you been nominated for TOTM yet? If not I officially nominate you for February I'll just have to put it in the thread for nominations. Crazy beautiful tank. I think that's my favorite lobo brain every.
