duganderson
Hello, I've got a 28 g. mixed reef. I have seen a couple of small bug-like looking creatures that are about 3/16" or 1/4" long cruising around the rock. They are really fast so I never get a good look at them. Any guess what these are? Are they likely safe or an unwanted pest? If unwanted pest, how do I get rid of them?? Thanks, Doug Link to comment
ajmckay
Likely amphipods/isopods. The overwhelming majority are harmless, only a few can be parasitic to fish. Check the hitchhiker identification thread to identify for sure. Link to comment
Amphiprion1
Hmm, see if you can catch one with a turkey baster at night. That would be very helpful in figuring out what these are. Link to comment

Nocturnal
Are they skinny and long, very fast? I have something of the sort and I think its some kind of isopod. Can't get a good pic to compare though. Link to comment
