rev138
Hey folks, Since I changed from MH to LED lighting, this macro is growing like gangbusters on my koralia. It must like the high flow because it's not growing anywhere else. It appears to be some kind of turf algae, I suppose. I don't really mind it at all, as long as it doesn't grow on my rocks or glass - it's crawling with pods and my snails like to mow it occasionally. My question is, do I run any danger leaving it alone? How likely is it to spread elsewhere? Thanks. Link to comment
loyalhero90
Have you touched it? Does it have a soft, feather feel or is it stiff? Does it blow with the current or does it just bend with the current? GHA is soft and feather while turf algae is hard and to my knowledge turf algae likes to grow on rocks (porous things). I usually get a tuff of GHA on my pump every once in a while. Link to comment
