cpreefguy Posted May 23, 2004 Share Posted May 23, 2004 I am building a canopy for my 15L. I bought a fan kit with two 3" fans. I want one fan on each side of the canopy but I've heard that it is bad to have a fan blowing across a metal halide bulb so my question is: Should I have both of them as exhaust or would it be ok to have one intake and one exhaust? I have never heard that. In fact, every pendant that I have seen that has a MH with a fan, has the fan blowing across the bulb and out. It keeps the bulb cooler and helps with excess heat in the tank. Link to comment
