Psychosis
Ok, I'll confess. I spent 3 mintues trying to decipher what DTBC meant. I have to know, what does it mean? Link to comment
jpc763
Don't break the chain. Sharing frags with fellow reefers. Something the MASC site encourages. You ever go to the MASC site? Link to comment
Psychosis
I don't actually. I tried logging in and was rejected because of my Commerce City address (at the time.) I do try to pay it forward when I can, all the same. Link to comment
jpc763
Went to Reefstock yesterday and picked up some new frags! I picked up 2 Acan frags, 2 Favites frags and a Pink birdsnest frag! Pics!!! Here is where I moved the clam so that he does not become part of the pistol shrimp cave! I moved the corals I got last week higher up in the tank. Finally I removed this Acan from the middle of all the Paly's that have taken over my tank!!! He is much happier! A couple inhabitants say HI! Link to comment

Julian_blnc
I wonder how the corals react to lower pressure, please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there lower pressure in the water becuase there is less atmospheric pressure on the tank? Link to comment

I have never considered that and there are a lot of amazing tanks in High altitude locations. Link to comment

jpc763
While I wouldn't say I have an Aiptasia problem, I have had to treat a half dozen in the cube since setting it up. Mostly they are solo heads that show up in different places. A little Joe's Juice and they are gone. Over the weekend I noticed the tell tale signs of a head coming out of my overflow chamber! There are 2 heads (at least) growing inside of it and sticking their heads out of the grill. Last night, after work I was off to the LFS to pick up a couple of peppermit shrimp which I acclimated and then dumped into chamber one. This morning one of them was still in chamber one but the other had decided to move on to a better place and had made it into my fllter floss on top of my InTank media basket! I rescued him and put him back into chamber 1, but now I suspect that it will happen again. How long do these guys take to eat Aptasia? Link to comment

jpc763
Well I got a great deal on a new MP10es so I have added it and taken away the Koralias. Lots more room in the tank now! Here is a current FTS I also thought about some growth shots of a few corals. jpc763
Another thing about the tank. Last night when I was feeding, I noticed my pistol shrimp somehow lost one of his claws. Not his large claw, but his smaller claw is now gone. I can't figure how he lost it and I read that the can re-grow appendages so hopefully he will re-grow it. Link to comment
jpc763
Took some pics of the tank tonight. Water is a bit cloudy as this was feeding time.
