Glenn
Tell me what you think; 7gal. AGA mini-bow 21lbs. of Caribsea aragonite reef sand (2" bed, is this enough?) 10lbs. Fiji LR (approx.) 2 mini jet 404 (18-108gph) set up as spray bars 1 100w Ebo Jager Heater 2x32w CSL power compact lights (1 daylight/ 1 actinic) I would also have an automated top-off system that used Kalk. water. The fish and corals are still up in the air but I was thinking of 1 false percula, 1 moon coral, 1 sun coral, pusling xena. I would also like to hear clean up crew suggestions. Please let me know if you see any flaws/problems/incompatability/etc. Thanks guys, it's hard to find info on reef tanks around here. Link to comment
Glenn
Maybe insted of the sun coral I will go with a torch or some frog spawn (so that mabe the clown will take it as a host). Link to comment
Strife
21lbs of aragonite and its only 2 inches in a 7 gallon? HmMm, what went wrong here... i bought the 20 lb bag of carib. sea and i have 2 inches with only 1/4 - 1/2 of the bag.... or could the eggcrate make a difference.... Link to comment
Glenn
All I did was go to Reef Central and use the sand bed calulator. The tank is 18"Lx11"W, and I typed in a 2" deep bed. It sounded a bit much to me also. Link to comment
Toyfreek
I used about 25# of southdown for a 4" bed in my 7 gal bow. So I'm thinking 12-13Lbs. for a 2" one GL, Toy Link to comment
