Deleted User 4
Probably because hurricane season is coming. Hate to be collecting R. Flordias during a tropical storms. You can always try aquascapers or ebay. Nah, those cost way more than what I can get for at my lfs. Well, the ebay packs are good but I want to try just one piece 1st. Test it out in my tank. Red_Blenny
Update: Had a heat wave around early September. Forgot to turn on the fan before I left school and when I came back home around 9pm, my tank was 86*. So, RIP Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Shortcake, Hellfire, and unknown RR acro .Month later, I noticed my snails were slowly dying off, especially when they wander to the left side of the tank... So I became suspicious I might have a polyclad flatworm. Since I lost a good amount of acros and I've been complaning about how I can't have super high flow because of the sandbed, I decided to tear down the tank to get rid of the sand and to confirm my suspicion... Lo and behold, a Polyclad Flatworm: So atm, my tank is sandless. Haven't had time to take an update picture of it but since school is taking up most of my time now, my tank will probably be mostly Ricordea dominate.... Link to comment
Nano sapiens
Looks like I missed this tank thread before now. Sorry to see the flatworm's destruction On the brighter side, you have some nice Ricordia. How are the very cool pink Yumas doing? Link to comment

My pink Yuma is doing very well and I'm pleased to say that it did not shift into an orange color. I'm in the lookout for some interesting Ricordea morphs (hoping Reef Gardner or my usual LFS will have a crazy shipment of unique Ricordea morphs) --- A few weeks ago, I also picked up some Ricordea Floridas from Cherry Corals. So far, they're nice but not as nice as the pictures. I'm hopeful that they'll color up nicely in a few months. >>>Edit, moved the pics from Cherry Coral to post #72, somewhere at the end<<<< Also picked up a Fungia Fralinae from Cherry Corals. I love how they're big, puffy, and.... tentacle-ly I'll probably take some actual pictures once I'm done with fall semester and by then, these rics will color up nicely. Link to comment

Red_Blenny
Here's my Watermelon Yuma (or according to gf, Strawberry Yuma) I'm glad it didn't shift into an orange color: http://s1096.photobucket.com/user/Red_Blenny/media/etc1/P1010133_zpsa6697049.jpg.html'> Close up of Sexycoral's Pink Yuma. It gained the orange bubbles and the body finally became a nice royal purple. Also excited that it has a tiny baby! Took a good 6-8 months to color up real nicely. http://s1096.photobucket.com/user/Red_Blenny/media/etc1/P1010135_zpsd7a8e59a.jpg.html'> Top down of Sexycoral's Yuma and the other pink watermelon/strawberry yuma: http://s1096.photobucket.com/user/Red_Blenny/media/etc1/P1010141_zps360feeeb.jpg.html'> My original Ricordea garden atm: http://s1096.photobucket.com/user/Red_Blenny/media/etc1/P1010136_zps38a09464.jpg.html'> Top down: http://s1096.photobucket.com/user/Red_Blenny/media/etc1/P1010142_zpsdd9a6590.jpg.html'> Cherry Corals Rics. In my tank atm it looks like: #1 My gf thought it looks interesting so I picked it up. It might be similar to #6 #2 looks like it has a blue skirt, orange/yellow bubbles and pink/reddish center. #3 and #4 are the same thing. Why did I buy the same ricordeas? Both are $21 total. Plus, I thought the pink center and yellow/orange bubble was interesting #5's yellow/orange bubble, purple skirt and pink/red center. The mouth is interesting; it's currently YELLOW but I won't be surprised if it shift into a green color. #6, kinda curious if it's close to #1. #7, Shoot, I had to get this one. Pink/red center + gold/yellow bubbles = something I've never seen. So far the mouth is still white so I'm curious what it'll become in the future. I'm hopeful that it'll stay yellow/gold (but I heard that there's no such thing as a true yellow/gold ricordea) And again, here's the Cherry Coral's pictures (picture order corresponds to the numbering): #1 #2: #3: #4: #5: #6: #7: Link to comment
Nano sapiens
How long did it take you to have a giant garden of rics? Tank is over five years old, so I'd say 4 years or so. They really took off in the last year when I got the glutonous Clownfish and started feeding more. The Yumas seem to grow in spurts directly related to how much dissolved material is in the water and how often they are fed. But even under ideal conditions they take their sweet time growing. Yea, I noticed that I have not seen Ricordea Floridas sprouting out babies. I realized that when I buy R. Floridas, they're usually come in with 2-3 mouths per body and under the right conditions, they'll split into seperate bodies... ... Makes me wonder if R. Floridas expand their 'foot', like R. Yumas... And yea, I agree with you about the growth rate of Yumas. Even if they're fed a lot, their growth rate is slow. Link to comment
