Leila
I just bought a second tank that is already up and running with livestock. The tank is in awful shape. Bad algae.. the rock is terrible and the sand is really nasty. What I would like to do is pull the livestock out as quickly as possible and set up a holding tank for them. Then get new rock and sand cycling in this one. If I pull rock from my already established tank and leave the holding tank bare bottom can I put the livestock in immediately? Its just two clown fish and clean up crew and a few corals. Any suggestion would be nice. I'd like to just dump everything when I bring the tank home and not have to set it up here only to tear it apart and set it up again. Link to comment

Weetabix7
Yes, you can do that. Just keep a close eye on parameters in the beginning and be ready to take actions (WC's, etc) if they get off. Link to comment
