Nate17
I got some purple epoxy putty the other day and decided to try it with my dragon eye zoas. I used a little too much but the zoas will grow over the putty right? Also here are my new radioactive green zoos Do you think they will eventually grow onto the live rock? They are connected to a coral plug that is covered by the sand so I just put them close to the rock to hopefully grow onto it Link to comment
PwnMe
Dried epoxy is just like live rock, stuff grows over it without a problem. As for the zoa question, no idea. I don't have any. Link to comment
Dmarmontello
Yes, it will grow over the putty and as long as the Zoa is touching the rock, it will eventually grow onto it. Link to comment

That said, it will grow onto the rock even if there is not a smooth surface it might just take a little longer for the zoas to spread out. They have to be happy where they are as well. Dragon eyes are relatively resilient so IMO you shouldn't have an issue wherever they get placed. Link to comment
