gedemeister
hi i have an aquamedic ocean light, 150 watt pendant hqi/DE lamp, could i install a smaller bulb (70 watt) in it, would that work? i think 150 watt over 12Gal is overkill, and electricity i expensive as hell here (something like 20-25 cents a kwh) thanks Gedemeister Link to comment
Jahkaya
Electricity should be a non issue with a difference of 80 watts. and NO 150 is not overkill for that size. It is perfect. If you are wooried about frying things go 20k Link to comment
gedemeister
hi Jahkaya thank for your input! I was actually going 20k, like the color Link to comment
jmt
I was kidding about the boom thing. It isn;t going to physcially blow up, but maye shorten the life of the bulb dramtically. That is, if it will even fire up. Link to comment
