Should I add B ionic and any other additives to a cycling tank ?? Is there pros and cons to doing this or should it be totally avoided and why ?? going to use as a frag tank.. Been up and running about a week now New Tank specs 20L glass 3 inch LS 15Lbs+ Fiji LR 95 watts PC 50/50 10k and actinic 03 power heads for cirulation with DYI spray bars Existing tanks 12gal Eclipse 3 inch LS 20ish lbs LR 50 watts PC 50/50 10k and actinic 03 power heads for cirulation Loaded with corals (mostly softies) Maxima Clam 6gal Ecplise 3 inch LS 10lbs Fiji LR 26 watts PC 50/50 10k and actinic 03 power heads for circ Couple of fish(neon Dottie back) Some Red mushrooms Thanks and hope this isnt a duplicate thread, did some searching before post didnt see anything on it.. It will only serve to pollute/add excess nutrients to an already unbalanced system. Once the setup is complete, and you have corals in place its fine to supplement according to the needs of the corals. Link to comment

But in a brand new tank, you're going to find that you add once then wait a month--there isn't a lot that uses them in a new tank. Ty Link to comment
