McCune
I am upgrading from a BC29 to a 72 gallon bow front this week. I will be adding about 30 to 40 pounds of dry rock to the tank along with my 35 pounds of live rock from the BC. Will this cause a cycle in the tank? I have mainly Lps in the tank with a few softies. There is only one fish in the tank at this time. Will the transfer go smoothly as planned or should I take a different plan of action? Link to comment
Tbone675
yes yes yes, do not add anything. you have to re-cycle the new tank. try dr tims to speed up the cycle. the good dr Link to comment

McCune
So I think I am going to pull some of the live rock I have out of the BC29 and put that into the 72 bow front for a few weeks to cycle the tank and seed the dry rock Link to comment
