Test kit plan/recommendation

So I decided it's time for a new test kit after seeing the Red Sea Foundations kit. It appears much more practical and sensitive, is this a good kit? I really like the idea of this kit because the price isn't outrageous and calc/alk/mag are the three main parameters I need to know. I would keep using API for Nirate as any indication of nitrate means a w/c. However I'm stuck for a pH test should I stick with API?
