If you were Designing a sps only system

With total volume around fifty gallons would you dose with a dosing pump or use a calcium

Reactor

i have a 100gal sps tank and i dose my tank everyday by hand.

dosing pump would be much simpler, calcium reactor requires a lot more fine adjustment and larger foot print and more equipment

Thank you for the reply ... I do travel a lot and dosing by hand isn't much of an option ... thus I have to look at a dosing pump setup or a reactor .. .thoughts?

Love your tank picture in your sig btw ... just beautiful!

ill lean towards a dosing pump over a calcium reactor. the fact that it can dose more than one element at a time blows the calcium reactor away.

can't you add magnesium to the calcium reactors now to compensate for that? otherwise, the alk and calcium are taken care of ... am I mistaken on that? Thanks.
