xcajx
I apologise for jnot having a pic but poor camera + tiny tiny hitchhiker = no pic. I havean creature the size of the tip of a pencil that looks like a fan. It rtracts into the rock in the blink of an eye. It resembles aiptasia, but I am hoping it is a fan of some sort. Do aiptasia retract super fast to the poinbt you cannot see them at all? Thanks, Chris Link to comment
sdbeazley
Do they live in a calcified tube and retract if you hit the stand or some other movement, if so it is a feather duster. Also feather duster are white or red meaning some other color not brown or clear like aiptaisia. Link to comment
xcajx
this has no visible tube, but is very tiny... it does seem white and not clear. Link to comment
bgraber
yeah sounds like a feather duster.. But Aiptasia Does retract into a hole.. Tried to suction the largest one in my tank the other day and it shriveld up to nothing.. THen the next day we was out in full force taunting me to "try again" I'll get him one way or another.. Where's my syringe?! Link to comment
sdbeazley
Yeah, aiptasia does retract into a hole if you touch it or something but featherdusters retract if you hit the stand or make any movement to the tank. Link to comment
