Dual BRS GFO and Carbon Reactor

been reading up on GFO and Carbon and I would like to run them in a reactor over a filter sock.

 

Is the BRS reactor overkill? Could it be back for my tank? I have a 10gal sump/fuge as well.

 

If the BRS is too much or big, what nano size reactors are good?

If you have the space for it go for it. you can adjust the amount of carbon and gfo to your needs( tank size.I have it my self and love it just stay on top of changing the carbon out and keeping the sponges clean to allow flow. and when u say over a filter sock, you mean removing it? You still would need the sock to filter out bigger particles of waste from the tank ... the gfo and carbon absorb stuff like excess nutrients in the water to lower algae break outs and other stuff.
