SPACEDOGB Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Hello everyone, I have a 34gal RSM system and I think I am still in the cycle because I am getting this odd algae on the sand and also I think hair algae is starting to build up on my glass. Can someone tell me if this is algae on my sand or something else. Thanks Link to comment
hannahs Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 The brown on the sand is diatoms, which is a normal part of a new tank. When you add your clean up crew it should all be taken care of. Link to comment
