I got tired of borrowing my moms camera so I decided to buy the Nikon D70 w/ a 60mm micro/macro lens. Rate me on the pic taking skilz b/c I am a rookie at this but I'm making progress.

Damn last two did not come out too well. But they do look better than that.

My newest addition, the nest algae eating machine! (urchin)

On every picture except for the urchin and fish ones the FOV (Field of View) is too small. They are very nice photos though.

OK, on all these I set the area of focus mode to single should I change it to dynamic or closest subject? Those are the options I have with this camera.

great pics and awesome tank!! The d70 is a kick @ss camera!! I've been seriously thinking about a dslr for a while now and the *ist is at the top of my list (mainly because it's the only dslr to use AA batteries..)

Great work!!!

I know this is considered "taboo" but......when you take your picture of something just back up a little farther than you would think. Then when your in photoshop, crop it, and resize. This will bring almost everything into focus. With these camera's resolution you can get away with some amazing things.
