Satchmo
I noticed yesterday that my oscillaris clown has what appears to be some sort of growth on his side. It's very tough to visualize because he never sits still, and it's obscured by his pectoral fin most of the time. It looks to be a dusty brown color, raised, and approx 1mm across. He's the only fish in my 10g and appears to be in good health otherwise. The only change for him recently was the fact that he adopted my frogsapwn about a week ago, but I can't imagine this being a factor. Water params are all baseline (0/0/0, 8.3, 1.024, 82F) and all corals and inverts are looking and behaving normally. Anyone have any ideas? Link to comment
tinyreef
i'm guessing it is a parasite. i remember reading a commentary of sprung's(?) that clownfishes that take up symbiont relationships incur MORE parasites than those that do not. it may have been in TRA II. the timing coincidence of the frogspawn and the growth would lend to that commentary. Satchmo
Interesting. Would a FW dip be in order? What is TRA II? And lastly, can Jenny come to the phone? Link to comment
